DOWNTOWN. NOTE: THE MUSEUM IS CLOSED FOR RENOVATION UNTIL NOVEMBER 2007. View works by masters such as Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Picasso, and Matisse. A hallmark of the Institute's collection is a 27-panel mural spanning four walls called "Detroit Industry," painted by Mexican great Diego Rivera. A terrific place to spend the afternoon and appreciate the Motor City's cultural benefits.
